Flowers for my daughter ?
Yesterday, a 19-year-old boy showed up randomly at my doorstep, flowers in hand, visibly shaking as he asked for my 18-year-old daughter.
My first instinct? A mix of amusement and that classic wheres-my-baseball-bat mode. But as I watched him sweat, I developed alot of respect for this kid.
We often wait for the ‘perfect moment’ or until we feel ‘ready.’
But here’s the truth: Ready is a myth. The magic happens in the doing.
This young man didn’t wait. He didn’t slide into DMs or send a text. He showed up. In person. With flowers. In today’s digital age, that’s the equivalent of cold calling the CEO of your dream company.
You could see the fear in his eyes. But he was there anyway.
